Lucerna in flames - custom Halloween fire show

The time of year when ghosts, ghouls and monsters walk to the streets is approaching. And also to the parties. People enjoy the spooky atmosphere of Halloween events that fill all the dance clubs on the last day of October. Last year we performed in Prague's Lucerna, for which we prepared a fire show full of special effects. How did it all go? Read the article.

When we were given the task of preparing a bespoke show that would be the highlight of the party in Lucerna, we knew we had to pull out all the stops. The enthusiastic crowd at Prague's biggest Halloween event will want to see an over-the-top, effects-packed show they won't soon forget. We only had less than 3 weeks to prepare, so we started planning right away.

Choreography? Unleash your inner demons!

At the beginning, we asked ourselves the question: which effects are the most impressive on stage?

Projections, lasers, fire breathing, pyrotechnics, CO2 jets, ground and handheld flamethrowers, cryoguns, fire cube. Which ones did we choose for the show? Well, all of them.

Jiřinka took care of the choreography and adapted it to the mood of the event. She replaced several minutes of precise synchronized passages with acting interactions, improvisation and special effects. All nine performers took on the role of infernal creatures who came to fill the whole stage with flames and "make a real mess".

"Make faces, stick out your tongue! At each other, at the audience, interact with them. When you come on stage, don't walk. Run, jump - put your energy into it!"

We don't often get the chance to go crazy on stage, so we had a great time - both while practicing and at the show itself.

We chose horror electro music to support the whole atmosphere.
An LED screen was placed behind us, on which we created customized spooky projections. These further emphasized the final impression of the whole visual.

Costume creation

The next step was costumes and make up. We really enjoy Halloween costumes and face painting, they give a lot of room for creativity. Every year we look forward to it and collect inspiration. How did we make up the Aliatrix hellions this year?

Halloween night

Preparations on site have been underway since the morning. All the effects had to be set up and tested. Meanwhile, the performers had several spatial rehearsals - the movement on the segmented stage with a catwalk and raised areas had to be clearly planned.
When everything was perfectly set up, we got down to dressing and make-up.

In addition to the show, we also supplied walking acts for Wonderland Halloween. As the performers were getting ready for the show, a mirror gentleman and a mummy puppet walked between the audience. Even amongst the elaborate costumes of the visitors, they stood out and grabbed all the attention on the dance floor.

And how did the audience like the show itself?

When our demons ran on stage and unleashed their fiery inferno, the packed Lucerna cheered. With their screams and applause, the visitors boosted the energy on stage. When artists hear such a response from the audience, it always spurs them on to a great performance and leaves them with a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed this event and will remember it for a long time.

And what are we performing this year? Let us surprise you. And if you're throwing a similar party, drop us a line. We'll put on a show your visitors will remember for a long time.
