The first online training and the beginning of the skillsharing part of the Aliatrix blog
One of our visions is to connect artists and share what we know. However, this year is specific and we had to cancel a second group training. But we try to find a chance in everything and that's why we prepared the 1st online training. How did it go? Check out the footage.
This article is not just about public training. We are starting another part of our blog where we want to show inspiration, motivate, and where we'll try to share instructional videos. Not only ours. We would like to make this part of the blog a fountain of inspiration and we want to share your ideas, your tutorials, because we want to learn from you too.
We know it's a long run, but if you want to get involved, we'd love to. It doesn't have to be anything complicated, just a short video, your favorite trick, or anything you want to show the world for others to learn from.
We want to share your ideas
We'd be happy if you'd get involved in the development of this section of our blog, because together we can fill it up quickly and we can support great and talented performers from all over the country.
Now on to our first online training session. There were about 20 of us in total, which is about 15 more than we expected. So a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came.
It was a lot of fun. We focused on POI. We taught the choreography that we performed at the Roztoč Festival and we went through the basics as well.
We took the beginners right from the start and taught the first moves, the importance of planes and overall understanding of this New Zealand instrument.
Speaking for Aliatrix, we had a great time and it definitely won't stop at this first attempt.
At this link, you can watch the full recording of the training session. Well, full - we succeeded to record about an hour out of the two hours. Please be understanding. After all, it was a first attempt and we definitely want to do better next time to make the recording as useful as possible.
Finally, I would like to thank once again everyone who came. There is an incredible amount of creativity, talent and skill in our Czech community. And when we're all isolated at home for so long, we can at least bring a bit of the community feel to each other through the training video chat.
If you don't want to miss out on the next online training, or if you want to keep up to date with what we publish, we'll be happy if you subscribe. Then you'll know about all the latest news right away.
